Employment contracts, compliance, workplace policy and dispute management. Wrongful Termination & Dismissal, Unpaid Wages & Overtime, Permanent / Partial Disability Compensation, Fatal Accidents (Death Claims), Maternity Benefit Penalties.
Navigating employment disputes and statutory compliance under the Bangladesh Labour Act, 2006 (and Labour Rules, 2015) requires precision and expert legal counsel. Whether you are an employee seeking justice against wrongful termination or an employer protecting your establishment from unfounded claims, our specialized legal team provides strong representation before the Labour Courts and the Labour Appellate Tribunal across Bangladesh.
We assist workers and corporate clients in disputes regarding illegal discharge, termination, retrenchment, or dismissal without due process:
Conducting and challenging internal domestic inquiry procedures.
Claims for job reinstatement with full back wages.
Compensation claims for procedural non-compliance.
We prosecute and defend claims concerning financial entitlements:
Unpaid monthly salary, arrears, and overtime compensation.
Gratuity, Provident Fund, and service benefits.
Unpaid festival bonuses and leave encashment claims.
Legal representation for claims arising out of workplace accidents, permanent disability, or death:
Statutory compensation claims under Section 150 of the Labour Act.
Employer liability representation and out-of-court settlement negotiations.
Proactive legal support to ensure full compliance with statutory procedure before taking disciplinary action:
Drafting show-cause notices and charge sheets.
Appointing independent inquiry officers and preparing inquiry reports.
Defending employees faced with false or retaliatory disciplinary proceedings.
Helping businesses manage employment risks and maintain industrial harmony:
Drafting legally sound employment contracts, non-compete agreements, and appointment letters.
Drafting Company Service Rules, Employee Handbooks, and HR Policies.
Labour compliance audits for factories, tech companies, and EPZ establishments.
Balanced Representation: We represent both corporate employers and individual employees, giving us deep strategic insight into both sides of a dispute.
Tribunal & Court Experience: Hands-on litigation experience before the Labour Courts and the Labour Appellate Tribunal.
Cost-Effective Solutions: We prioritize fast mediation and dispute resolution whenever possible to save time and legal costs.
A "worker" includes any person employed in an establishment to do manual, technical, skilled, unskilled, or clerical work. Administrative or managerial personnel are governed by separate contract laws rather than statutory Labour Court protections.
An aggrieved worker must generally submit a written grievance to the employer within 30 days of the cause of action. If unresolved, a complaint can be submitted to the Labour Court within the statutory timeframe prescribed under Section 33 of the Act.
Termination is permitted under specific statutory procedures depending on whether it is a termination at-will (with notice/compensation) or a dismissal for proven misconduct following a proper domestic inquiry. Failure to follow this process makes the action illegal.
We work as an extension of your team, combining technical excellence with a deep understanding of the Bangladesh Labour Act, 2006 (and Labour Rules, 2015). Every engagement is led by a partner and supported by specialists, ensuring continuity and accountability throughout.
